British tourist reports alleged groping during Bondi morning run

British tourist Jenna Dollard says she was groped from behind by a man on a bicycle while running near Sydney’s Bondi Beach. The alleged incident has prompted concern about women’s safety and led her to switch from outdoor morning runs to exercising at a gym.

Dollard, 33, said the encounter happened on Bondi Road at about 5.30am on Thursday, while she was wearing headphones. Police arrested a 51-year-old man in Tempe the following afternoon and charged him with sexually touching another person without consent; he was refused bail and is due in court on Saturday. Dollard also thanked staff and customers at Tinpin Bakery for helping her.
