One of the Best Horror Movies of the Decade Is Officially Streaming Free Just in Time for Halloween
*Late Night with the Devil*, a horror film starring David Dastmalchian, is streaming free with adverts on Tubi in time for Halloween. Its story centres on a late-night host whose live Halloween broadcast turns increasingly frightening, making the film a fitting seasonal watch.
Written and directed by Colin and Cameron Cairnes, the film follows Jack Delroy, host of *Night Owls*, a show struggling to compete with Johnny Carson. For a ratings boost, Jack invites an allegedly possessed girl, Lilly, onto the programme, alongside a parapsychologist, a sceptic and his sidekick. As events escalate, Jack faces repeated chances to stop the broadcast but keeps going in pursuit of a successful episode.

Explained simply
Late-night television is a format built around hosts interviewing guests and entertaining viewers, with ratings influencing which programmes attract advertisers and stay on air. In the film, Jack Delroy presents Night Owls, a show struggling to compete with Johnny Carson, a leading American late-night host.
For a Halloween broadcast, Jack invites Lilly, a girl said to be possessed, alongside a parapsychologist and a sceptic. Their presence brings different views of what may be happening, while Jack’s decision to keep the programme going puts the show’s audience and success at the centre of the story.
