One of the Best Final Fantasy Games Is Officially Taking Over Xbox
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade joined Xbox Game Pass on 29 October, giving subscribers a new way to play the opening instalment of Square Enix’s remake trilogy. Its arrival matters because players can access the expanded game without buying it separately, across Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud gaming.
Intergrade includes the main story set in Midgar, where mercenary Cloud works with Avalanche against Shinra, and the additional FF7R EPISODE INTERmission campaign starring Yuffie. The game expands the Midgar section of the original, with real-time combat that lets players switch between party members and issue commands. It is the first part of a larger story, followed by Rebirth and a planned concluding instalment.

Explained simply
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade retells and expands the opening part of the 1997 role-playing game Final Fantasy VII. It follows Cloud, a former soldier working as a mercenary, as he joins Avalanche, a group resisting the Shinra corporation’s control of the city of Midgar.
Intergrade includes the main story and an extra campaign starring Yuffie, another character from the original game. Its combat blends real-time action with commands for party members. The remake’s story continues in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, with a further instalment planned.
