FF7 Remake and Rebirth Are Less than $8 Each on Nintendo Switch 2
Square Enix has cut the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop prices of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth to $7.99 and $7.49 respectively. The steep discounts offer players a cheap way to catch up on the remake trilogy before its concluding game arrives in April.
Remake normally costs $39.99 and includes the Intergrade DLC, with its Midgar story and Episode Yuffie. Rebirth is reduced from $49.99; its optional deluxe item pack costs $3, down from $20, and contains no story expansion. Both games run well overall on Switch 2, though Rebirth has open-world asset pop-in and less detailed character models, while Remake can look soft and have distracting hair.
In short
- Remake is $7.99 on Switch 2, including Episode Yuffie.
- Rebirth is $7.49, down from $49.99.
- The sale offers a chance to catch up before April’s finale.
Explained simply
Final Fantasy VII is a role-playing game series from Square Enix, first released in 1997. The company is remaking that story as a trilogy, with updated graphics and expanded gameplay.
The first instalment follows Cloud Strife and his companions as they oppose the Shinra corporation in the city of Midgar. The second follows the group beyond the city as they pursue Sephiroth, a powerful figure from Cloud’s past. Together, the games cover an ongoing story, so the final instalment is expected to complete it.
