WoW: Forever Makes Every Class More Powerful in Last-Minute Change
Blizzard has announced a final set of balance changes for World of Warcraft: Forever ahead of its launch, following feedback from the beta. Every class will deal more damage, while high-level creatures will gain health to compensate, giving the developers more room to add distinctive abilities and design changes.
The patch also adjusts a range of classes and specialisations, increases creature respawn rates in lower-level areas for expected launch crowds, and expands controller support. Blizzard plans to hold off on further balance changes until the raids open on 9 December, when it will review live-game data, including how players progress beyond the beta’s level 30 cap. The game launches on 4 or 5 November, depending on time zone.
In short
- Every class will deal more damage in the final pre-launch update.
- High-level creatures will gain health to balance the changes.
- Blizzard plans another major balance review when raids open on 9 December.
Explained simply
World of Warcraft is an online role-playing game in which players create characters, join different classes and specialisations, and explore a shared fantasy world. Each class has its own ways of dealing damage, helping allies or surviving fights, while players gain levels and take on increasingly difficult creatures and group challenges.
Blizzard makes the game and adjusts how its classes and enemies work. These changes can affect how different characters perform and how challenging the world feels. The beta let players try an early version of Forever, but it capped progress at level 30, so the full game will provide more information about how the systems work at higher levels.
