California political candidates and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass were assessed by two stylists for what they wore when voting in the 2026 election. Their ratings put Los Angeles mayoral hopeful Nithya Raman ahead, while gubernatorial candidate Xavier Becerra received the lowest marks for a casual outfit.

Raman wore a black top, orange wrap skirt and boots, earning 7/10 and 6/10; both stylists liked the effort but criticised the colours. Bass’s black separates, camel blazer and Adidas trainers received 6/10 and 4.5/10, with one stylist calling the blazer tired. Becerra’s green sweater, faded jeans and trainers scored 5/10 and 3/10, as the stylists said the look was too casual for Election Day.
