Pottermore Publishing will make all seven Harry Potter Full-Cast Audio Editions free to borrow through participating public libraries worldwide, starting on 1 December 2026. The move gives library members a new way to discover or revisit the stories through immersive, cast-performed recordings.
The books will arrive in three stages: the first three on 1 December, two more on 5 January 2027, and the final two on 2 February. Cush Jumbo narrates, with actors including Hugh Laurie, Matthew Macfadyen, Riz Ahmed, Kit Harington and Keira Knightley among the cast. Explained simply
Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels by British author J.K. Rowling, following a young wizard and his friends as they grow up at Hogwarts, a school for magic. The books became popular worldwide and have also been adapted into films, plays and earlier audiobook recordings.
Pottermore Publishing, which releases digital Harry Potter editions, is making new full-cast audio versions available to borrow through participating public libraries. Cush Jumbo narrates, alongside a large cast of actors; the performers voicing Harry, Ron and Hermione change after the first three books. Library borrowing gives members a way to listen without buying the recordings.
