Kent town to burn 36-foot Infantino effigy carrying Trump’s head
Edenbridge Bonfire Society has made a 36-foot effigy of FIFA president Gianni Infantino carrying Donald Trump’s head, which is due to be burned during the Kent town’s Bonfire Night celebrations. The caricature pokes fun at the pair’s relationship and Infantino’s controversies, making the display a local event with political and sporting targets.
The effigy shows Infantino with dollar bills in his ears and a “President for Dummies: How to make billions” book, while Trump’s head sits on a trophy plinth beside a “Piece of Shirt” prize. The society also included a wheelie bin and the town’s roadworks; the procession will feature 20 floats and marching bands, with roads closed from 6pm on Saturday.
