Actress Mckenna Grace rejects Hollywood nudity, ‘hypersexual’ roles
Mckenna Grace says she currently turns down on-screen nudity and “very hypersexual” roles because they make her uncomfortable, while stressing that she respects actors who take them. The 20-year-old says this boundary is about her personal comfort, not her ambition to play a Disney princess, and she does not intend to restrict herself to wholesome characters.
Grace, who began acting as a child and has an Emmy nomination for “The Handmaid’s Tale”, is due to appear in “Sunrise on the Reaping”, a “Hunger Games” prequel. She clarified on Instagram that her comments about nudity and her Disney dream were unrelated. The article also cites other actors who have set limits on intimate scenes, and Angel Studios’ announced standards barring sex, nudity and gratuitous profanity in its original releases.
In short
- Grace says nudity and hypersexual roles are outside her current comfort zone.
- She says the boundary is separate from her dream of playing a Disney princess.
- Other actors and a studio have also described limits on intimate content.
