‘Joy Will Prevail,’ Starring Griffin Dunne as Architect Louis Kahn and Alexis Bledel, Tells the Story of the Director’s Childhood Home (Exclusive PÖFF Trailer)
*Joy Will Prevail*, a biographical drama about architect Louis I. Kahn’s final years, is set for its international premiere in Estonia. Directed by Kahn’s grandson Max Korman, the film explores the creation of Kahn’s last residential commission and his friendship with the man who commissioned it.
That house, outside Philadelphia, became Korman’s childhood home and Kahn’s final residential building; it was completed shortly before the architect died unexpectedly in 1974. Griffin Dunne stars as Kahn, alongside Jennifer Beals and Alexis Bledel, while Ben Rosenfield plays Steve Korman. After its world premiere in Philadelphia, the film screens at Tallinn’s Black Nights Film Festival, followed by a special screening in Kahn’s birthplace, Kuressaare.
