Revolut secures $115bn price tag after string of licence wins
Revolut’s valuation has risen by more than 50 per cent to $115bn in a funding round led by Glade Brook Capital Partners, Coatue and Durable Capital Partners. The milestone follows a run of regulatory approvals, including a UK banking permit, and could intensify speculation about a future stock market listing.
The UK gave Revolut final approval to begin lending in March, while the company has also secured a European Central Bank permit, advanced its bid for US national bank charters and obtained a licence in New Zealand. Revolut reported 2025 profits of £1.7bn, up 57 per cent, and said it had surpassed 80 million customers, with a goal of reaching 100 million. Chief executive Nik Storonsky has said a public debut may be about two years away and that he prefers the US market, though the company has explored a dual listing in New York and London.
In short
- Revolut’s valuation has climbed to $115bn.
- The company has passed 80 million customers.
- Storonsky prefers a US listing but has considered London too.
