Ukraine says bodycam video shows deadly Russian double-tap bombing
Ukraine’s police say bodycam footage shows a second Russian bomb strike hitting an underground shelter in Kamyshuvakha, minutes after an initial attack. At least 40 people were killed at an aid centre and shelter, and the footage has drawn attention to the danger faced by residents and responders after the first strike.
The video, released on Wednesday, shows residents moving among rubble before a police officer urges them into the shelter; a radio warning about more glide bombs is followed by a blast and flames. Ukraine says nine bombs, some weighing up to 3,000kg, hit the village in Zaporizhzhia region. President Volodymyr Zelensky said more than 30 people might still be buried as searches continued for a third day; Russia’s military had not publicly commented.
