Watch Metallica unload Battery in latest pro-shot footage from Las Vegas Sphere residency

Metallica have released professionally filmed footage of “Battery” from their 15 October performance at Las Vegas’s Sphere. The 1986 track opened that show, part of a residency marking 40 years since the release of *Master of Puppets*, and the video highlights the band’s continued focus on older material.

The five-month residency began on 1 October, and all planned dates have sold out. Metallica have also revived songs including “…And Justice for All” and “Devil’s Dance”; the shows have drawn controversy after James Hetfield made remarks about entertainers influencing audiences. The band are due to return to the Sphere in January, with the residency ending on 13 March before their M72 North American stadium dates.
