Explained simply
Chime is a US financial technology company that offers banking services through a mobile app, rather than operating as a traditional bank with its own branches. Its products include spending accounts and cards, and it earns revenue from activity by members who use them.
The company’s growth depends on attracting and keeping members and on how often they use its services. Revenue growth and average revenue per active member help show how those factors are changing. Chime’s performance also offers a measure of demand for app-based banking and consumer spending in the US.
