Nicolas Cage returns as an arms dealer alongside newcomer Bill Skarsgard in Lords of War trailer
The first trailer for *Lords of War*, a direct sequel to Nicolas Cage’s 2005 film *Lord of War*, introduces Bill Skarsgård as Yuri Orlov’s son. The story follows their uneasy reunion as Orlov builds a mercenary army to fight in US conflicts in the Middle East, apparently seeking to correct his father’s past by continuing his arms-dealing legacy.
Andrew Niccol returns as writer and director, with Laura Harrier, Sylvia Hoeks and Greg Tarzan Davis also in the cast. The original film drew on the real-life arms dealer Viktor Bout and received mixed-to-positive reviews, but underperformed at the global box office. *Lords of War* is due in cinemas on 22 January 2027.
