Explained simply
The Legend of Zelda is a long-running Nintendo adventure series, usually centred on the hero Link, Princess Zelda and the threat posed by Ganondorf. Ocarina of Time first appeared on the Nintendo 64 in 1998 and is one of the series’ best-known games.
In the story, Link travels between childhood and adulthood to stop Ganondorf from taking control of the kingdom of Hyrule. Zelda and Navi, a small fairy who guides Link, are among the other central characters.
The original game used text rather than spoken dialogue. The remake adds voice acting to some scenes, while Link remains silent, continuing a common approach in the series.
