Adam Driver Confirms His Role in Heat 2, Comments on Recent Michael Mann Shooting
Adam Driver has confirmed he will play Otis Wardell, the principal antagonist in Michael Mann’s Heat 2, which continues and precedes the story of the 1995 crime film. Driver said he was excited to work with Mann again after Ferrari and praised the film’s cast.
Driver said filming had been delayed as planned and he was due to start in early December; he said Mann’s recent shooting accident at a Los Angeles gun range had not significantly affected production. Christian Bale is set to play Vincent Hanna and Leonardo DiCaprio Chris Shiherlis, while Ebon Moss-Bachrach has reportedly been in final talks for a role. The film adapts Mann’s 2022 novel, whose story spans 1988 to 2000, and is now at Amazon MGM Studios.
