All Fortnite Crew overhaul changes explained – price, tiers, benefits, and more
Fortnite is overhauling its Crew subscription with a new tiered system that changes how many V-Bucks subscribers receive. The changes matter to current and returning members because their tier will depend on their subscription history, while the monthly price stays the same.
The overhaul takes effect on 5 December, when current subscribers’ tiers will update automatically and any owed Legacy Styles will be granted as the monthly Crew Pack system ends. Returning subscribers who rejoin between 6 and 31 December will be placed at their most recent continuous subscription level from the past 12 months. Crew will still cost $11.99 per month.
In short
- Fortnite Crew is moving to a tiered V-Bucks system.
- Tiers reflect consecutive subscription months in the past year.
- The $11.99 monthly price remains unchanged.
Explained simply
Fortnite is an online game in which players can buy virtual items, including outfits and other cosmetic additions. V-Bucks are the game’s virtual currency, used to buy items and access some content.
Fortnite Crew is a paid monthly subscription that has included V-Bucks and a pack of exclusive items. The planned tier system links the amount of V-Bucks subscribers receive to their subscription history, so a player’s past membership may affect their benefits if they return.
