Fortnite Crew subscribers are no longer getting free skins or the OG Pass, will get more V-Bucks instead
Epic Games is changing Fortnite Crew from 5 December, ending its monthly Crew Packs and the OG Pass. The shift replaces those benefits with a higher V-Bucks allowance based on subscription length, while several other passes remain included.
December’s Crew Pack will be the last, and subscribers who have not unlocked all Legacy Styles for their Crew Pack outfits will receive them. The OG Pass ends alongside Chapter 1: OG Season X, with Epic saying a new era of Fortnite OG is planned for late 2027. Existing membership time will count towards the new V-Bucks tiers; members also get a 20% XP bonus.
In short
- Monthly Crew Packs end after December’s release.
- The OG Pass ends on 5 December.
- V-Bucks increase according to subscription length.
Steelman: both sides, in good faith
The strongest fair case each way — we don't pick a winner.
The case for
Replacing monthly cosmetics and the OG Pass with more V-Bucks gives subscribers greater choice over how they spend their membership value. A tiered allowance that reflects subscription length may also reward loyalty, while retaining other passes and adding an XP bonus preserves some benefits.
The case against
Monthly Crew Packs and the OG Pass offered predictable, exclusive content that subscribers could value more than a larger currency allowance. Ending them may make the service feel less distinctive or worthwhile for players who joined for those specific items, and the late-2027 plan for Fortnite OG leaves a long gap after the current pass ends.
