Bonnie Tyler’s hometown pays tribute with new mural
A mural of Bonnie Tyler has been unveiled at Skewen Memorial Park in Neath Port Talbot, where the singer was born and raised. The tribute honours the global star’s connection to her hometown and gives residents a place to remember her after her death, aged 75.
Painted by local artist Steve Jenkins, the mural features Tyler’s face, the park and a reference to the rugby club where she held her first audition. Its colourful half represents how her music will live on, while the black-and-white half reflects its role as a memorial. Residents said the artwork captured how Tyler remained proud of Skewen and never forgot her roots.
