Spencer Peppet – “Power”
Spencer Peppet has released “Power”, her first new solo track in nine years. The Ophelias’ bandleader says it began with feeling out of place among beautiful people at a fancy event, before her frustration shifted to the cost of drinks.
Produced by Calvin Lauber, with sampling by Jevin Almazan, the song is wrapped in shoegaze-style fuzz and features wry, self-questioning lyrics. Peppet made its music video with Ophelias bandmate Jo Schaffer; the band released its third album, *Spring Grove*, last year.
