Death Angel Unleash New Single “The Never Was”: Stream

Death Angel have released “The Never Was”, a new thrash metal single ahead of their Christmas concerts and continuing Act III anniversary tour. The song takes aim at self-centred people who turn other people’s successes, setbacks and even deaths into opportunities to talk about themselves.

Vocalist Mark Osegueda said the lyrics were inspired by several real people who, he believes, do not recognise this behaviour in themselves. He described the track as an angry thrash metal take on Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain”. The band has Christmas shows in Los Angeles on 17 December and San Francisco on 18 December, followed by five Australian dates from 30 January to 5 February.
