Jess Kerber – “The World Is Dark, But I Want It To Be Funny” (Feat. Emily Hines)
Nashville singer-songwriter Jess Kerber has released “The World Is Dark, But I Want It To Be Funny”, the title track from her forthcoming album, featuring Emily Hines. Kerber says finding humour in everyday moments has helped her accept difficult circumstances, making the song a reflection on coping with a challenging wider climate.
The album is due on 6 November through Felte, and follows the previously shared singles “Changing” and “Louisiana Song”. The track is accompanied by a live studio video; Kerber says humour does not invalidate low moments, but can help people find lightness amid hardship.
