Lakers forward could make season debut vs. Trail Blazers
Lakers forward Adou Thiero could make his season debut against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday after being removed from the injury report. His return would follow a prolonged absence caused by swelling in his left knee.
Thiero, a 6-foot-8 second-year player, has missed training camp, preseason and the Lakers’ first 13 regular-season games, despite appearing in the first three preseason exhibitions. He averaged 5.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 18.4 minutes in those games; the swelling affected the knee he had surgery on in spring 2025. After practising with the Coachella Valley Lakers on Wednesday, he was recalled on Thursday. Sandro Mamukelashvili is questionable with an illness, while Bronny James and Cameron Carr are assigned to the G League team for its Friday opener.
