After rumors of a delay, Disney confirms Avengers: Secret Wars release date

Disney and Marvel Studios have confirmed that Avengers: Secret Wars is still scheduled for 17 December 2027, despite speculation that production delays could push it into 2028. The film is intended to conclude Marvel’s Multiverse Saga and follows Avengers: Doomsday.

The confirmation came at Disney’s 2027 Upfront event in Argentina; the 2028 films X-Men, Ghost Rider and Black Panther 3 were also listed as scheduled. Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom is expected to appear alongside the main casts of Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four, while Anthony Mackie has said he will return as Captain America and start filming in July. Production progress has prompted questions about whether the date is achievable, though Doomsday is due first.
