Keanu Reeves to voice John Wick in animated backstory film
Developing story first seen 4 hours ago
Keanu Reeves has agreed to voice John Wick in an animated prequel about the character’s “Impossible Task”, adding a new screen account of his backstory. The film will follow Wick as he attempts to kill all his rivals in a single night, the feat that won him freedom from the High Table and let him retire for love.
Shannon Tindle, director of Ultraman: Rising, will direct, with Ryan and Kaz Firpo writing the script. Reeves will produce with Chad Stahelski, Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee. The announcement adds to Reeves’s expected return in John Wick 5, despite Wick’s apparent death at the end of the fourth film; he also appeared in the prequel Ballerina.
