Netflix’s Animated Twilight Adaptation Confirmed for Two Seasons

Netflix has confirmed that its animated adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s *Midnight Sun* will run for two seasons. The project revisits the *Twilight* story through vampire Edward Cullen’s perspective, extending the franchise’s life nearly two decades after its first major screen success.

The 2020 novel retells the events of *Twilight*, originally narrated by Bella Swan, and gives readers access to Edward’s thoughts as he navigates life as a vampire and falls in love with Bella. Casting was under way in summer 2026, with production reportedly scheduled from August 2026 to May 2027. The series is in development, with no release date or window announced.
