David Gaider has been working on Owlcat’s Expanse RPG: ‘The Expanse has long been one of my favourite series, and so obviously I jumped at the opportunity to be involved’
Developing story first seen 3 hours ago
David Gaider, the creator of Dragon Age’s Thedas, has been helping Owlcat Games with the narrative for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn alongside his work at Summerfall Studios. His involvement brings a writer experienced in both classic role-playing games and more cinematic entries to Owlcat’s science-fiction RPG.
The game is a third-person shooter and cinematic RPG with role-playing choices and skill checks, a shift from Owlcat’s better-known isometric games. The studio also announced Blythe Melin as the new voice of the male protagonist and his twin, following feedback from beta players. Melin has voiced characters in Wolverine, Aether & Iron, Painkiller and Hoyoverse games; the game is due in spring 2027.
