A Reboot Of Classic Series ‘Tenko’ & A ‘Chalet Girl’ TV Adaptation Are In The Works At Two Brothers Pictures
Two Brothers Pictures is developing new television versions of the BBC wartime drama *Tenko* and the 2011 romantic comedy *Chalet Girl*. The projects mark a move by the British production company, known mainly for original dramas such as *Fleabag*, into adapting existing works.
Anna Symon is writing the *Tenko* reboot after the company approached original creator Lavinia Warner, who is involved in bringing the story to a modern audience. The original ran for three seasons from 1981 to 1984, following British, Australian and Dutch civilian women held in a Japanese internment camp near Singapore. Tessa Coates is writing the *Chalet Girl* series, which is being developed for the “new adult” audience with the original film’s producers; the film starred Felicity Jones and Ed Westwick.
