Adam Driver Talks About His Upcoming Turn as Mister Sinister in the X-Men Reboot

Adam Driver has said he is joining Marvel’s X-Men reboot as the villain Mister Sinister, a role he accepted after years of reportedly turning down other Marvel offers. He told Jimmy Kimmel that his childhood enthusiasm for X-Men and director Jake Schreier’s approach helped make this project feel right.

Driver described playing Wolverine with his cousin during their childhood, and said he liked the script and did not want to let fans down. Mister Sinister is the alter ego of Dr Nathaniel Essex, a London biologist obsessed with creating a superhuman race. The announced cast also includes Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey and Kit Connor as Cyclops.
