Marvel Comics Is Relaunching Hulk in 2027, and the First Issue Is Free

Marvel Comics will relaunch its monthly Hulk series with a new first issue in May 2027, offered free as part of Comics Giveaway Day. The move introduces a new creative team and direction for the long-running hero, giving readers a chance to sample the series without paying.

Chris Condon will write the comic, with Alessandro Cappuccio illustrating; they previously worked together on Ultimate Wolverine. Paid options include “True Believers Blind Bag” variants and bundles containing 19 blind bag comics plus an exclusive glow-in-the-dark variant by Patrick Gleason. Hulk #1 is scheduled for 1 May 2027, with participating shops to be listed for the event.
