Amal Clooney wore a caramel suede Gucci trench and thigh-high boots for a New York theatre date with her husband, George Clooney. The outfit brought together two recurring elements of her style: suede and short dresses paired with high boots.

The couple attended a one-night reading of *Smear!*, a political comedy by Clark Gregg, at New York’s Seaview Studio. Clooney’s trench comes from Gucci’s autumn 2015 collection, and she first wore it that year to the Public Theater.
