Legendary 31-Year-Old Space Western Officially Returns With New Release

Trigun is set to return as a novel, bringing the space Western back in a new form after the recent anime series concluded. The release matters to fans because it reunites original creator Yasuhiro Nightow with the newer Trigun Stampede continuity.

Titled Trigun Manuscript, the novel is written by Nightow and Takehiko Oxi, who wrote Trigun Stampede. It shares the world and continuity of Stampede and Trigun Stargaze, which premiered in January and was described as the reimagining’s final phase. Nightow will provide new cover and interior art; Shueisha has given only a general winter release window, with more details to come.
