Sheila Sim on her runway return at Chanel in Sydney: ‘I represent women who have forgotten to love themselves’
Singaporean model-actress Sheila Sim returned to the runway after more than a decade at Chanel’s Cruise 2026/27 show in Sydney. At 42 and a mother of two, she said the experience felt like coming home to a part of herself, and highlighted how confidence and perspective had changed with age and motherhood.
Sim said she hopes her return represents women who have put their own sense of self aside while caring for their families. The show, held on 5 November at The Cutaway beneath Barangaroo Reserve, was the next chapter of creative director Matthieu Blazy’s first Cruise collection for Chanel, which debuted in Biarritz in April.
