10 of the coolest features in Samsung’s new One UI 9 update

Samsung’s One UI 9 update adds personalisation options and practical tools for Galaxy users, from a redesigned Quick Panel to camera and AI features. The changes matter because they make common controls easier to tailor and expand what users can do with their phones for photography, video calls and editing.

The Quick Panel now has a separate dark mode button and lets users resize and reorder controls. Camera Assistant adds a 24-megapixel photo option between 12MP and 50MP, while a USB connection can turn a phone into a computer webcam. Other additions include AI video reframing, smarter object removal, a lift-to-speak Bixby gesture and a library of customisable multi-finger gestures.
