3 dead in wreck on on 10 Freeway in LA as car smashes into divider during police chase

Three people died after a car carrying four people crashed into a freeway divider during a police pursuit in Baldwin Park, California, early on Saturday. The crash followed a driver’s failure to stop and matters because police said they were pursuing a possible DUI driver.

The California Highway Patrol began the pursuit shortly after 4am on the westbound 10 Freeway near Azusa Avenue. The car hit the divider at the Francisquito Avenue exit; one person died at the scene, two later died in hospital and the fourth person’s condition was unknown.
