Nicolas Cage walks back ‘homeless’ claims after $10M Malibu mansion sinkhole disaster
Nicolas Cage has clarified that he is not homeless after describing himself as “a little bit homeless” following damage to his Malibu home. He said he was joking while discussing Halloween plans and meant that the house could not welcome trick-or-treaters.
The 4,000-square-foot beachfront property, which Cage bought in 2024 for $10.5 million, was damaged by coastal erosion and a sinkhole after September’s Hurricane Marie brought large waves and high tides. More than 30 homes on the private road were evacuated because emergency services could not safely reach them; Cage said his family was fine and he planned to take his daughter trick-or-treating in Santa Monica.
In short
