Tyler Kolek owns up to Taylor Swift fan comment that earned him some fun Knicks ribbing

Tyler Kolek has apologised for questioning Taylor Swift’s loyalty to the Knicks, saying he was misinformed and chose his words badly. The second-year guard’s remarks prompted light-hearted teasing from teammates, who played Swift songs in the locker room after New York beat Cleveland 109-97.

Kolek had called Swift “performative” after she attended Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden. He later acknowledged she had supported the Knicks for years, including wearing a Joakim Noah jersey, and said he loves her music. The Knicks also issued a statement recognising her long-standing support and connection to Madison Square Garden.
