Chessington World of Adventures evacuated as emergency services rush in after reports of a threat

Chessington World of Adventures was evacuated and closed after reports of a threat, prompting emergency services to attend. The reason for the closure remained unclear, and police had not confirmed any arrests or injuries.

Staff and visitors were told to leave the resort on Leatherhead Road, while police officers and sniffer dogs were seen nearby. A road closure between Fairoak Lane and Barwell Business Park was lifted at about 1pm; the 128-acre resort includes a theme park, zoo and hotels, and has more than 40 rides.
