The Phasmophobia community raised more than $230,000 for the American Heart Association through the Ghost Hunts for Hearts fundraiser, more than doubling last year’s total. Kinetic Games announced the result on 6 November, after the event surpassed its $200,000 target, unlocking an animated charity-themed reward for players.
The drive ran from 26 October to 2 November, with more than 500 streamers taking part, the largest turnout yet for the association’s Heart Liive streaming initiative. Last year’s fundraiser brought in just over $100,000; this year’s total is about £173,000. Phasmophobia players can claim the animated Advocate ID Card and Badge by logging in before 15 November.

Explained simply
Phasmophobia is a cooperative horror game in which players investigate locations said to be haunted. Kinetic Games, the studio behind the game, has organised Ghost Hunts for Hearts, a fundraising event supporting the American Heart Association, a US charity focused on heart health.
The event is part of the association’s Heart Liive streaming initiative, which brings together online creators to raise money. Streamers play games and invite viewers to donate, so the size of the total reflects contributions from a broad group of participants.
