Box Office: ‘You Can See Everything’ Becomes Second-Biggest Doc Ever in North America With $80 Million
A24’s documentary “You Can See Everything”, about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, has taken $80 million in North America after four weekends, making it the second-biggest non-music documentary there. Its performance is notable for a nearly three-hour film and suggests strong audience interest in a story already covered by other documentaries and television dramas.
The film earned $8.8 million from 2,473 cinemas in its fourth weekend, a 23% fall, after opening to $15 million. It trails “Fahrenheit 9/11” at $119 million domestically and has not yet opened internationally, with releases due to begin at the end of November. Directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, it cost $7 million to make and is A24’s third-highest-grossing domestic release.
