Bondi Sushi coming to 1221 Sixth Ave
Bondi Sushi has signed a lease for a 4,400-square-foot space at 1221 Sixth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, expanding its New York presence. The opening will be the chain’s largest location and its 15th in the city, adding another restaurant to a tower that has recently attracted major office tenants.
The restaurant will take over the former 48 Lounge space on West 48th Street and include a double-height ceiling, cocktail bar, private dining room, takeout area and Bondi’s horseshoe-shaped seating counter. It follows the group’s first Midtown opening near Bryant Park and will join Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, Oceana and Zibetto at the building. The tower’s 2.6 million square feet of offices are 98% occupied.
