Deion Sanders’ response to job security question as Colorado season spirals
Colorado lost 20-10 to Arizona State, its sixth defeat in seven games, leaving the Buffaloes’ season in further decline. Head coach Deion Sanders said he was not concerned about his job security, saying his focus was on the players, although he acknowledged the team’s results were not what they should be.
Colorado had only 103 yards in the first half, with 62 coming in the final 45 seconds, and did not record a first down until the second quarter. A 74-yard touchdown pass from Isaac Wilson to Ernest Campbell was ruled out for an illegal man downfield. Since Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter left for the NFL, Colorado has gone 6-15 overall and 2-13 in Big 12 play; it must win its final three games, against Houston, Cincinnati and UCF, to become bowl-eligible.
