The restrictions stem from recent safety or maintenance findings at Woodbourn Road, managed by Sheffield Hallam University. The facility now operates exclusively for qualified coaching sessions, whilst university officials and Sheffield City Council work toward a long-term solution that balances facility integrity with continued community access to athletic resources.
