Not For Nothing: Slow Pulp share second single from album Melodie
Chicago indie rock band Slow Pulp have released a new single, "Not For Nothing," a piano ballad and the second track to be shared from their forthcoming album, Melodie. The release matters to fans and followers of the indie scene as it offers a further preview of the record and continues the band's run of well-received recent output.
The song was described by Henry Stoehr as an attempt to externalise complex emotions, including feeling stuck and the heartbreak of unexpected life changes, with the aim of resonating with listeners going through something similar. It follows last month's single "Better Man," which Stereogum named one of the best songs of the week, and arrives with a video directed by Ben Turok. Melodie is due out on 18 September via ANTI-.
