A 44-year-old sergeant from the Volusia Sheriff's Office in central Florida was arrested after an incident at a local bar in which he allegedly attacked an elderly couple. Security footage from the establishment allegedly captured the sergeant, identified as Jason Stickels, in an intoxicated state while harassing and then assaulting the seniors. A customer at the venue reportedly stepped in to stop the confrontation.

Stickels now faces two felony battery charges for attacking individuals aged 65 and older. The arrest raises questions about conduct standards for off-duty law enforcement personnel and the role of video evidence in documenting alleged misconduct by those in uniform.
