The long-running Fox crime procedural Bones, starring David Boreanaz, is arriving on Netflix in the UK and Ireland from Saturday 11 July, making one of streaming's most durable favourites available on the world's largest platform. The move matters because it broadens access to a show with a devoted following, coming at a time when the series has also been the subject of reboot rumours and while Boreanaz prepares for a high-profile new role.

Bones ran on Fox for 12 seasons and 246 episodes between 2005 and 2017, casting Boreanaz as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth alongside Emily Deschanel's forensic anthropologist Dr Temperance "Bones" Brennan. The Netflix arrival in the UK and Ireland follows the show's departure from Prime Video the previous day, on 10 July. The catch is that the rollout is regional: it appears limited to those two territories for now, while US viewers will continue to access the series via Hulu, Disney+ and digital storefronts. Boreanaz, who first rose to fame as Angel in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and most recently led CBS's SEAL Team, is next set to play Jim Rockford in NBC's reboot of The Rockford Files.
