The Tejano band Intocable is to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, marking recognition of one of regional Mexican music's most influential and enduring acts. The honour underscores the group's role in shaping and broadening the reach of the genre over more than three decades, blending Tejano, Norteño, pop, rock and cumbia into a distinctive sound.

Formed in Zapata, Texas, in the early 1990s, Intocable will receive the 2,852nd star in the "Recording" category at a ceremony on Thursday 16 July, hosted by Jessica Maldonado with guests Edgar Barrera and Nir Serrousi. The band has amassed 15 No. 1s on Billboard's Top Regional Mexican Albums chart, 21 No. 1s on Regional Mexican Airplay, an estimated 55 million albums sold, and multiple Grammys and Latin Grammys. They are currently on their Cultura Tour 2026 across 24 cities, and last month struck a catalogue and name-and-likeness deal with Primary Wave Music.
