‘Rent’ West End Revival Reveals Cast Joining Gaten Matarazzo: Travis Ross as Roger, Bella Brown as Mimi and More
The West End revival of Jonathan Larson's musical "Rent" has revealed the full principal cast joining "Stranger Things" star Gaten Matarazzo, who will play Mark. The announcement fills out a high-profile staging of one of musical theatre's most enduring works, which is approaching its 30th anniversary and will run at London's Duke of York's Theatre, soon to be renamed the Tom Stoppard Theatre.
Joining Matarazzo are Travis Ross as Roger, Bella Brown as Mimi, Billy Nevers as Collins, Lazy Violet as Maureen, Olivier nominee Danielle Fiamanya as Joanne, Jeevan Braich as Angel and Joaquin Pedro Valdes as Benny, with further casting to come. Directed by Luke Sheppard, the production begins previews on 26 September, opens on 8 October and, owing to popular demand, has been extended to 27 March 2027. It is produced by Chris Harper Productions, Sonia Friedman Productions, Winkler & Smalberg and Julie Larson in association with the Hope Mill Theatre.
