Engadget · 1 month ago

Official-looking renders for a range of upcoming Samsung devices have leaked ahead of the company's next Unpacked event, according to reporting by Android Headlines. The images cover the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, offering an early look at the designs shortly before their official unveiling on 22 July.

The Z Flip 8 is shown in white, grey and pink and looks very similar to the Z Flip 7, with rumours pointing to Exynos 2600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 variants, a redesigned hinge and a lighter chassis amid a global RAM shortage. The Z Fold 8 is described as short and wide with a 5.5-inch QHD+ external screen (16:10) and a 7.6-inch inner display (4:3), a possible weight of around 200 grams and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, with a separate Z Fold 8 Ultra also in development. The Watch 9 closely resembles the Watch 8 and is tipped to come in three colours and two sizes, while the Watch Ultra 2 is expected in a single 47mm size and two colours; both watches are rumoured to see price rises, with the Watch 9 potentially up by $30 to $60.
